The history of TAMET in brief
Creation
TAMET, S.A. was founded in 1996 to meet the growing need in Portugal for a reliable, fast and truly specialised technical centre for the repair and logistics of electronic equipment. What began as a small technical centre has gained a reputation for its speed, transparency and ability to adapt to the volumes and specific needs of each brand.
Expansion
Over time, TAMET has attracted the attention of all major manufacturers and customers. Each partnership has brought new challenges, ranging from very short SLAs, RMAs, pilot projects, audits, quality control workflows, to extensive reporting and logistics tracking processes.
Increase in volumes
The company has evolved to receive and sort thousands of units per week, set up structured and robotised storage, create buffer stocks, manage brand-specific packaging, ensure daily shipments with its own carriers and couriers, etc.
Acquisition by Cordon Group
Officially signed on 1 July 2023, this new acquisition is a real growth driver for Cordon Group, which, thanks to this transaction, is becoming a leading global player in the field of the circular economy applied to electronics.
