A Cordon Group innovation for the recovery of rare earths

Development of a dismantling machine for recycling neodymium magnets

Published on 03 April 2025

At Cordon Group, innovation and the circular economy are at the heart of our commitments.

We are pleased to share with you our latest innovation: our teams have developed a loudspeaker disassembly machine, a technological breakthrough that makes it possible to recover the neodymium magnets contained inside certain appliances.

This initiative is part of our drive to optimise recycled materials and make the most of resources. Neodymium, an essential material for many industrial applications, is a rare earth whose supply is complex. By recovering and reusing these magnets, we are contributing to more sustainable management of raw materials.

This machine, designed in its entirety by our Industrialisation teams, illustrates our ability to innovate to help industry move towards more responsible solutions!
